Eco-Guided Reef Protection Dive

Dive with us and gain an insight into the work we do helping to protect the Great Barrier Reef. Conduct two certified dives, help conduct surveys on reef & marine life & contribute to the Marine Park Authority's Reef Protection Initiatives

Keppel Dive's Eye on the Reef monitoring and assessment program enables visiting divers to the Great Barrier Reef to contribute to its long-term protection by collecting valuable information about reef health, marine animals and incidents that is then used to understand the bigger picture and inform how the Marine Park Authority manages the Reef.

Join Keppel Dive on an Eco-Certified Reef Protection Dive and do your part to help monitor and protect the Great Barrier Reef.

Our Eco-Certified tour includes:

  • 2 tank boat dive at Keppel Dive's Reef Stewardship Sites.
  • Insight into conducting Reef Health Impact Surveys (RHIS)
  • Instruction in conducting Rapid Monitoring surveys
  • Introduction to the Eye on the Reef app and entering sightings
  • All diving gear.
  • We can arrange your ferry to Great Keppel Island at additional cost. Just indicate 'yes' when booking online or let our Dive Crew know.
  • Receive guidance and interpretation on the impact your visit will have on the future sustainability of the Great Barrier Reef.
Come and get involved and record your own sightings and enter these into The Eye on the Reef app, which is then uploaded onto the GBRMPA Database.
